TaxGeek update2-06c released
2007-02-11
- Form 1040 - Some rounding issues in calculating line 44 have been addressed. The correct
tax-table values should now be showing up. This is a minor issue which resulted in
errors of less than $1.
- libtaxgeek.js - For taxable incomes
- less than $5, there is no tax
- less than $15, the tax is $1
- less than $25, the tax is $2
- less than $3000, but greater than $25, there are $25 increments, NOT $50 increments. This has been
corrected. In general, this meant an over-estimation of taxes (for those with
low taxable incomes) in the vicinity of $2.50-$15.00.
- The child credit tax worksheet was *still* calling values from 1040 version 2005.
The line references have been corrected and this worksheet is verified to be
working correctly. At Last.
Thanks to Gary for finding the above errors and promptly reporting them.
TaxGeek update1-06c released 2007-02-09
- 1) The child tax credit worksheet did not make it into the forms.js file
which holds the new method of calling up forms. This has been fixed.
- 2) A regression error was discovered with forms.js in which upon switching
projects, data from the old project could affect forms behavior in the
new project under certain rare conditions. This has been fixed.
- 3) Forms 2106 and 2106ez were not calling up the help file for special deductions.
